Except to the extent that this defection causes wingnut heads to explode, I'm unimpressed.
Another "Blue Dog" is hardly what we need right now. And Arlen can be relied upon to fight only for Arlen; first, last and exclusively.

Now, if this nets our side, say, a Sen. Olympia Snow, then I'm impressed. Slippery slope and all.
As an indication of the decline of the crazy right's hegemony over the party of Lincoln, well, it's better than nothin'.
Although, it is far better than Sen. Phil Spector (Looney Party, CA.)
(Is it just me, or is there a resemblence?)

Regarding your recent misguided comment on my blog, the exact phrase "From R.I.N.O. to D.I.N.O." brings up 1,270 hits on Googgle. I did not get the title from your blog, as I have not visited your blog in a long time.
If your assumption is that I somehow stole my rather lame, uninspired and unexciting post title from your blog, then the twisted logical extension for that premise would be that you stole it Katie Connolly of Newsweek (Tuesday, April 28, 2009 3:41 PM), who must have stolen it from Comedy Central (April 28th at 12:27 PM).
Then again, it's entirely possible that this coincidence is merely a rather obvious melding of two hackneyed phrases into what has become a quite common headline to explain the recent turn of political events.
Hey are you a professional journalist? This article is very well written, as compared to most other blogs i saw today….
anyhow thanks for the good read!
